Business meeting: Give your guests from abroad an experience

In one of North Zealand's most beautiful castle gardens, just 9 km north of Copenhagen, lies the majestic Bernstorff Castle. Since 2009, the historic castle has served as a hotel and conference center, hosting open and closed events. If you're planning a conference or business meeting where participants include international guests, Bernstorff Castle is the obvious choice. The beautiful architecture of the castle gives your guests an insight into a Danish cultural treasure and the Danish nature that surrounds the castle.

Bernstorff Castle, Danish cultural heritage

Bernstorff Castle is a piece of Danish cultural heritage

Bernstorff Castle - Danish cultural heritage

For more than 250 years, the beautiful Bernstorff Castle has adorned the idyllic castle gardens in Charlottenlund with its black glazed brick and white walls. This makes it one of the earliest neoclassical buildings in all of Europe, making it a very special part of Danish cultural heritage.

Despite its current function, the castle was originally built as a summer residence for Count Bernstorff. It wasn't until the then Crown Prince Christian VIII bought it that it received its official title of Castle. Bernstorff Castle then served as a royal summer residence until 1939, and since 2009 it has had its current function as a hotel and conference center.

The perfect place for a successful meeting

Surrounded by fresh air and idyllic nature, the beautiful and historic Castle provides the perfect setting for meeting rooms in North Zealand. Inside, the castle has aesthetically pleasing and functional rooms that set the stage for a motivating and inspiring meeting for all your participants. We offer both plenary rooms for larger gatherings and group rooms for smaller ones.

All meeting rooms are enriched with beautiful natural light and a fantastic view of Slotsparken. The rooms each offer their own charm, for example, it is possible to spot the Øresund Bridge from the King Chr. IX room, and in good weather it is possible to see the dome of the Marble Church from the Prince Aage room.

Arrange for an overnight stay at Bernstorff Castle

If your guests are coming from abroad, it's important that they have a place to sleep after a long and exciting day of conferences or meetings. It's a good idea that you've arranged this in advance, and now that you've invited them to visit Denmark, they should have the opportunity to experience our beautiful country outside the hustle and bustle of the big city. Bernstorff Castle is located just 9 km north of Copenhagen, where it is still surrounded by nature and idyll.

In addition to the many meeting and conference rooms, the property contains 23 hotel rooms. The rooms are located in and around Kvalavérgården, a beautiful three-length half-timbered building located a few steps from the castle itself. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed with TV, free internet, bathroom, tea and coffee, so you can be sure that your international guests will have a good night's stay after the meeting. The overnight stay will also include brunch, which is served at the castle, where you will also find the reception.
