Create your own story in our historic party rooms

From when Count Johann Hartwig Ernst von Bernstorff first built the castle in the mid-1700s to the present day, Bernstorff Castle has been the setting for numerous events. The tradition continues, and the various halls and banquet rooms have witnessed countless historical moments - from aristocratic parties to modern events.

Each generation has left its own mark on the castle's rich history, and it's clear how past and present come together in the rooms and continue to create unforgettable experiences for visitors.

Bernstorff Castle - where past and present merge

At Bernstorff Castle, we are proud of our rich history and heritage, which can be seen in every nook and cranny of the castle. Each room reflects a part of the castle's historical journey, which began in the 18th century.

We are proud to offer these spaces, which are not only beautiful and unique, but also tell stories about Denmark's past. Our commitment to preserving these historic spaces makes them a perfect venue for memorable events where guests can feel part of the Danish cultural heritage.

As you wander through the historic rooms of Bernstorff Castle, you can almost hear the echoes of the past and feel the royal atmosphere. Imagine how the halls used to house elegant banquets and lively dance parties.

With a little imagination, you can almost feel the buzz of music and dancing that used to fill these beautiful rooms during festive occasions. The grand size and magnificent décor of the halls make it clear why they were - and still are - perfect backdrops for opulence and elegant events.

Imagine also how royalty once enjoyed their meals at the beautifully decorated tables, surrounded by magnificent art and elegant details. Every bite at the elegantly set tables in these historic rooms is like a taste of the royal past, where you are the protagonist of your own historical narrative.

White Hall - a royal affair

Imagine stepping into the White Hall at Bernstorff Castle and immediately being immersed in a world of historical splendor and royal traditions. The White Hall was once the royal dining room, and every detail tells a story from a bygone era. The exquisite paintings above the doors, created by Johan Mandelberg in 1765, catch your eye with their beauty and stories.

When we set the table for parties, the room transforms into a picture of elegance with round tables draped in white tablecloths, surrounded by sparkling glasses and gleaming cutlery. Every meal here is like dining with royalty, where you're surrounded by the buzz of history and the timeless charm of the castle.

In the summer, we open up to the terrace where the welcome drink is served al fresco and the party takes on an extra dimension. For one evening, you become part of the castle's living history.
