Job done! Meeting over! Now, what’s more relaxing than hanging out with your colleagues over a drink before dinner? You could meet in the oval Garden Room or the cozy Winecellar. In summer, a drink on the terrace is the highlight of the day.
The signature drink of the house is “The Tsarina’s Drink”, which we mix in honor of the Danish princess Dagmar, who was married to the Russian Tsar. Dagmar spent many a summer day at Bernstorff Palace.
The drink is a glass of Cava with a squeeze of Bottle Green Syrup, and a small surprise: a tiny crown in the glass.

If you fancy something else, do not worry. We serve Aperol, GT, beers, wine, Cremant and Champagne.
Dinner
In general, we serve your dinner in the high-ceilinged restaurant of the palace, with a wonderful view to the park.
If you prefer a Dinner séparé or a rather banquet style menu, we can talk about it! It may cost you a little more, but please, reach out to us, and let us know what you think – and expect.
After Dinner
After dinner coffee is normally included in your conference package. It will turn extraordinarily cozy in the cellar of the palace, where you will have a seat under the vaulted ceilings. Maybe you fancy a brandy? Do not worry about uncontrollable bills. All brandies, liqueurs, rums etc. have the same price:

After Coffee
In the cellar, under the vaulted ceilings, four different rooms welcome you: the Bar, the TV lounge, the Fireplace lounge and the Wine lounge.
Our team of smiling waiters will service you with beverages and snacks until we close up the Palace for the night, which is at midnight precisely.
Nightcap and a game of billiards
How about a nightcap and a game of billiards? In one of the palace wings, close to the very wing with the guest rooms, a game room offers 2 billiard tables, darts and cozy Chesterfields. Talk you your waiters before leaving the main building. They will be happy to bring beverages and snacks in the game room for self service. You access the game room with your room key,.
Night snack!
Working late? Or wrap up your day with a tasty night snack? Its polite self-service, we set the plates in the game room and you decide when to board the delicacies. Choose between:

At midmorning we tempt you with a croissant or a real Danish Pastry.
Afternoon breaks
The afternoon break is another highlight of the day. Our home baked cakes are always a treat.

The absolute highlight of the day!
The lunch buffet at Bernstorff Palace is set every day in the iconic, oval Garden Room. You will be seated in the high ceilinged restaurant rooms, with the beautiful daylight from the park. On summerdays, you will sit on the terrace. It does not get any lovelier.
The Lunch Buffet
The lunch buffet by chef Pia and her team MUST be tasted. It is nearly impossible to describe. Everything is homemade, be it the honeyed nuts, the home baked bread or the home made butter.
Usually, the buffet offers 4-5 different salads, 2-3 warm dishes, some are prepared according to traditional Danish “Grandma’s recipes”. On most days, there will be Danish herrings, battered fish and salmon. Planks with Danish and French/German/Spanish/Italian charcuterie, a slate with cheeses from all over Europe and different sorts of home baked bread. The sweet finale will always be the desert of the day. Do not worry. It comes in a very forgiving size 🙂 Take 2, if you cannot resist.
The Time is All Yours
Please, do not compare our lunch buffet with the lunches you are served in many conference centers. Ours is so much more than that. It’s the gastronomic signature of Bernstorff Palace.
The buffet shows nicest at noon. However, we can easily arrange for your group to take lunch later, just let us know, so we can rearrange the buffet successively.
Lunch in Your Meeting Room
Do you need to be extremely effective and eat while you work? We might arrange an “all-in-one” lunch platter.
It will require some extra logistics, so we add a surcharge of DKK 50,00 per person to your package.
Lunch in the Budget Meeting Package
If you go for the Budget Meeting Package your lunch will be a tasty, entirely home made, freshly prepared sandwich, which we serve on trays outside your meeting room. It has never disappointed even very hungry guests!
