Prince Valdemar on the 1st floor of the castle is a venue that stands out in many ways. This is especially true of the beautiful style, which still impresses even though it is over 250 years since the rooms at Bernstorff Castle were completed. From the room there is a wonderful view of Bernstorff Castle Gardens, and in good weather you can see all the way to Copenhagen. So when you have something to celebrate, it's hard to find a more beautiful place where the venue, the surroundings and the exquisite food complete your party.
If you have a brunch party or confirmation with a buffet, Prins Valdemar is a great place to sit when we set up the buffet in "Prinsesse Marie", which is located directly opposite.
The "Prince Valdemar" room at Bernstorff Castle is the closest we here in Denmark can get to "The Oval Office" in the White House. In fact, those in the know say that the oval shape of the presidential office, an archetypal feature of neoclassical buildings, was inspired by Bernstorff Castle.
